See Pictures of the Carneval Parade in Puerto Plata. Everybody dresses with funny costumes, some wear masks, and all the kids have balloons made out of blown up stomaches of pigs and with them they hit everybody's ass. It hurts like a strong slap on the buttock and therefore everybody is scared of the joung aggressive boys hunting people to hit as many people as they can. It is great fun, it's a game you gotta play. Fasnachtsumzug in Puerto Plata

Sieh die Bilder vom Fasnachtsumzug zur Faschingszeit in Puerto Plata. Firmen und grosse Hotels stellen die Wagen, es gibt tolle Kostüme zu sehen und die Dominikaner fahren von weit her nach Puerto Plata, um den Umzug zu sehen. So wie Deutsche eben nach Mainz fahren, um den Faschingsumzug zu sehen. Interessant sind die bunten Plastikkostüme, gebastelt aus Schnipseln von farbigen Müllsäcken. Diese Plastikkonstruktionen bieten auch einen guten Schutz vor den Schlägen, die die frechen Jungs mit ihren aufgeblasenen Schweinebäuchen austeilen. Ein Treffer mit diesen Ballonen tut weh wie ein kräftiger Schlag auf den Hintern und die Jagd nach Treffern und das geschickte Ausweichen von diesen gehört zur Gaudi, die am Rande des Umzugs stattfindet.
